Our Mission:
Love God, Love Others

"He will be the sure foundation for your times, a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the LORD is the key to this treasure."
-Isaiah 33:6

When asked what the most important of God's commandments are, Jesus replied, "' Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."

Foundation Student Ministries serves students in 6th-12th grade. We are focused on living out our mission of Loving God and growing in our relationship with Him through the consistent study of His Word, fellowship with other brothers and sisters in Christ, prayer, and worship.

We seek to Love Others through creative application of God's Word, group accountability, and fostering an environment of selflessness. Our desire is that the Spirit of God will explode within us and overflow heavenly love onto all of those around us: our families, friends, schools, facebook pals and twitter buddies...

God has blessed this group of students with a unique desire to live everyday for His Kingdom and glory! If you are looking for a place to seek God, make friends, be loved and learn the Truth...then this is the place for you!

Sean Nisil and wife Amanda Nisil

Sean has been the Youth Ministries Director at NHCC since 2007. He and Amanda have been married for 5 years and have two wonderful boys. They are passionate about NHCC's youth and desire to see people of all ages grow in, with, and through the LORD.

 James Solis

We found this man frozen solid in a drifting iceberg. When he thawed out, we decided to name him James, make him a leader in the youth group, and pay him with an ample supply of pizza and Skittles.

Amy Solis

Amy has a heart for the youth and leads many of our girls' small group sessions. She is a long time attendee of NHCC and a valuable resource to Foundation. (She also makes sure James does not get out of hand as he is still adjusting to modern life.)

Megan Lebaron

Megan was a long time student leader throughout her high school tenure with the youth group. After graduation she stepped up in responsibilities and remains a much appreciated and highly regarded volunteer. You will often see her with a guitar in one hand and a Bible in the other.

Mat Busik

Some say that Mat was brought up in Africa by a herd of Cheetahs and that he names all of his potted plants Steve. Also, his heart doesn't beat, it ticks like a watch. All we know is, we call him Mat.

Stuart McCoy

Stuart has been involved with Foundation since he was in Jr. High. Many believe he is a descendant of Chuck Norris. This explains his ability to eat Habanero peppers without breaking a sweat.

Summer Already...What's Going On?

Well believe it or not...Summer time is here. As always, Foundation Student Ministries will continue to meet during our normal sessions during the summer season. Tuesday night from 6:30-8:00pm Jr. High Students meet in the Youth Room for their mid-week session. Wednesday night from 6:30-8:00pm Sr. High Students meet in the Youth Room for their mid-week session.

If you are going to be in 6th grade next year, please join us on Tuesday nights starting now! If you are going to be in 9th grade next year, please start coming on Wednesday! We've been seeing a lot of new faces lately...keep it up! The more people the better!!

We'll be hosting different events all summer long, including beach days, pool parties, and rock climbing to name a few. Also plan to keep the last Saturday of each month free for "4th Saturday" featuring free food, live music and great fellowship for the whole family! Keep your eyes open for the Flyers...make sure you've signed a Permission Slip...and prepare for Fellowship, Fun, and Sun.

 Get Involved!

I am proud to say that we are a group that has been growing not only in maturity, but also in numbers! We have been praying consistently for our group to grow in both these areas over the last year and a half. Not only has the Lord increased the number of students but He has brought in the volunteers to assist and lead the students as well.

But there is always a need for parent involvement in the areas of Transportation (to & from youth events), Food Donations (opportunities for Sunday Breakfast and Mid-Week Dinners), and Administrative Support as well. If you are interested in having a more hands on role in your child's youth group, please let me know and we will see what works best! Many opportunities are rotational thus limiting your time/money commitment while still supporting the group.
